kaufman radioed in, 10k zeds on the way from danforth. sounds like grandmother might be the mother of all hordes but red talon didn't think to fucking mention it. last we heard, kaufman, ferry, and de leon're safe.

based on their speed we reckon we got 5 days before they hit and a few options when they do.

1. hunker down and let it through like we usually do just [...] y'know. for way longer.
2. divert the horde before it gets here and send em back to danforth. this'd have to be done soon and fast and careful as fuck [...] hell. since we ain't been able to get to danforth too safely on account of the zeds and red talon and now it's clear we'd have better chances [...] just something to consider i guess.
3. split the horde and take it out bit by bit. this one's dicey too and it'd take way longer, which means even the folks who ain't fighting might be in more danger

if you got better ideas let em fly cause we gotta work together.

they're going to move down route 406. it's the clearest path to follow. so move everyone away from the highway ahead of time and the rest of us can break up the horde like arlo said. the quad's a big area, there's lots of room to maneuver

When you say break up, what do you envision? Cut the horde into how many pieces? With how many people? Ideally.

Just to clarify, do you mean thinning out what we can, or actually destroying the horde? 10,000 will be unrealistic, and if they're moving closely together, this will make trying to pick off smaller groups without bringing the attention of a lot more, more difficult. Especially if we're using explosives.

I'm not against the idea, but this seems ambitious.

I'm willing to entertain other arguments, but my priority is reducing casualties in our area.

Perhaps if they knew we had the ability to help or hinder their efforts, they would let us know what it is that they are up to.

Given our resources and the risk, I also agree that the safest plan for our communities is to let them pass through.

But, I do also agree this is could be an opportunity to try and minimize the risk to anyone down the line, and maybe ourselves, if we try to thin out the horde. I just think we need to be careful about the way we'd actually do that, we could create a bigger problem by inadvertently leading them back here or keeping them here when they were already moving out.
