Ophelia, what do you think about having a farm lesson today? We need to get everything inside the walls by tomorrow. All kindling, tree hay, fruit, grass, the last of the crops, everything.

I thought we had a little more time.

I can do that.

I think, for the sake of making sure the crops don't get damaged, it'd be best if we handle the relocating instead of having the kids pick anything.

Do we have enough things to keep the children occupied when the horde hits? If not, I think we have time to trade with Whitney. Coloring books, puzzles, anything else, do you think? It's going to be a lot of time staying quiet.

A lot of them have at least some toys of their own that they could play with for the time being. I've got some books I can lend out. We have a few decks of cards in the classroom.

If people are already going to the Depot for essentials, then I would not argue against extra items for the kids being tacked on. But I don't think it is worth a trip on its own.

I don't know, I think if a new coloring book can make one of the children feel better about the horde, then it's essential in my mind.

But we will see if we need anything else. [...] If we need anything in Whitney, we can trade in fruit pies. Hah.

Fruit pies are a good idea. The berries won't last too long on their own.

I was thinking we could preserve the citrus in honey, but we will need Whitney for that.

Those sound like reasonable ideas. I think preserving things in longer lasting food sources is the best option.
