So. Bad news. What are we doing?
I don't have 10,000 bullets.

Emmett
Even if you had 10,000 bullets, I don't think sending you to deal with that many zombies would or should be an option, Em.

I was just saying!

Well, say other things then.

Fair enough. If I could do something helpful I would, but I can't, so I won't.
I can help you with the kids if we have to hunker down for a bit, maybe?
Emmett/Ophelia
But it would not help me personally to know [...] one of my best friends is in danger because he's trying to be a hero out there with an objectively terrible plan. So, you're just going to have to settle for one of the other plans when we all come to a consensus. Sorry.

I'll help you with the animals while all of this is going on too. No sense in having you doing all of your work while helping me with the children if we can split both shares.
Emmett/Ophelia
I mean, obviously I'm not the boss or anything, but.
Emmett/Ophelia
It's not like I'm going to go tattle on you for your farm plans to Flume.
Emmett/Ophelia
I know.

I think, for the sake of making sure the crops don't get damaged, it'd be best if we handle the relocating instead of having the kids pick anything.

Can the older children help with the grass at least? It's going to be slow otherwise.

If people are already going to the Depot for essentials, then I would not argue against extra items for the kids being tacked on. But I don't think it is worth a trip on its own.

But we will see if we need anything else. [...] If we need anything in Whitney, we can trade in fruit pies. Hah.

So you're back to yours-Their happiness would be worth it, but if we need things to weather this horde however we choose to go about it, then those should be the utmost priority even so.Fruit pies are a good idea. The berries won't last too long on their own.

[...] At any rate. The lemons and limes are unlikely to be ready for harvesting either, but I'm reluctant to leave them on the tree when the horde passes through. Suppose the horde breaks up and destroys the trees.
I was thinking we could preserve the citrus in honey, but we will need Whitney for that.

Because you are prone to giving away your own necessities frequently. Those sound like reasonable ideas. I think preserving things in longer lasting food sources is the best option.
