Niko's brain sputters. He wants to think of something clever to say, or to think of an equally good compliment, or to pin Blythe against the wall and kiss him, but his nerves have made him stupid, and he does none of those things.

"Thanks, I got it on sale!" he says, and is kicking himself even as the words leave his mouth. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

"Ohmygoooood I'm sorry!" he apologizes instantly, burying his face in his hands with shame.
