Event: Itinerant Horde
This post will be used for all miscellaneous scenes set during this plot line. There will be a second post going up for mission scenes which will count for plot success activity tomorrow morning. Characters who volunteer for missions all know the plan but will not receive their own assignments and partners until late this evening, at which point the Cascade Hills teams will be dispatched to their locations.
Meagher Valley teams will be positioned Saturday morning, Providence Ridge teams Sunday morning, and Trumbull Valley teams Monday morning. The Horde is impassable by car, so please be mindful to note which side of the Horde your character is on at any given time. Those on teams will be prepared to camp out for a few days at their final locations, and will have safe elevated spots scouted for them ahead of time, but are also welcome to shelter at any community once the Horde has cleared it (ie, if you are assigned to Loch + Keogh, you can return to Whitney Field after the Horde clears it on Saturday afternoon).
If you have any questions about logistics, please do not hesitate to ask me either here or in the #questions channel on the Discord server. I realize this is a little complicated but I'm happy to help figure out where your character will be and be able to get! I'll have team assigns for people at about 9pm PST tonight, and the post for mission scenes will go up tomorrow morning.

SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
"BILLIE."
Lola bursts through the privacy curtain surrounding Billie's cot, foot-first. In her arms, she appears to be holding roughly half a dozen family-sized bags of chips. Five, actually, and only three of them stale.
"I brought you things to heal." This Lola says with an expression of the utmost seriousness—she does believe that potato chips are what Billie needs to fully recover.
After dumping the chips on Billie's lap, Lola pulls a pack of Red Vines from her back pocket. These are truly ancient, closer in texture and required jaw activity to Tootsie Rolls, but Lola lays them reverently down atop the small mountain of chips like manna from heaven.
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
"Hi!" She pauses for a moment, tensely waiting to see if the word was enough to make her chest revolt against her in a painful fury like it'd been doing so often. Luckily, her excitement didn't seem enough to cause aggravation this time. Or maybe she was getting better at managing her breathing. Someone at Prescott had mentioned trying to do that, to protect her lungs or something.
"Thanks," she says, looking down at the chips contently. They can stay there and she will figure out how to consume them in the least embarrassing manner later. With a less content sigh, she looks back up at Lola, dejected. "I don't think I can scavenge like this."
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
She frowns. "What exactly happened to you?"
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
"I fell out of a bell tower. Not even that far, but I still managed to crack some of my ribs." She's pouting now, upset by the fact that she didn't even get a cool story to justify her injuries. Like, could she have at least gotten banged up killing twenty zombies single-handedly or something. Jeez.
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
Tutting, she makes a fuss over Billie, tucking her into her cot up to her chin and tucking her hair behind her airs. "Can you even breathe?"
Obviously, yes, or else Billie would probably not be unattended in a cot surrounded by a privacy curtain. What Lola means is can Billie breathe well. But in best friend shorthand.

SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
She opens a bag of chile limón Lay’s, wafting the previously-sealed chip air up and sniffing it like a sommelier. Pauses, squints thoughtfully—yes. Good chips. "Prognosis means 'what I think,' but in a medical sense. Chip?"
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
She looks at Lola very seriously, because it's important to her that any oddities that speak to her on some level but have no practical or trading value find a home with her. "What if I somehow miss an entire storage closet somewhere filled with Ooglies?"
It's too depressing to think about, really, so instead, Billie opens her mouth so that Lola can throw a chip in. The least embarrassing way to eat while moving is off the table, she's decided.
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
“I’ll make sure to collect good stuff for you,” Lola continues. “OOglies. Yarn. Everything.”
SCENES: TUESDAY & BEYOND: Lola & Billie
But she gets there in the end, unsure if it's actually all that more comfortable, all things considered, but it matters less than the fact that she's able to lean on Lola who is tangible and really there.
"My hero, as always. I'm going to make you something so cute with any yarn you find. When I'm better."
