Yeah. [...] I knew Mara through my best friend, Daniel Kaufman. We were all on a camping trip together when the outbreak happened. We lost Daniel pretty early. I thought he'd want me to [...] take care of her. But she didn't want that. Which I guess makes sense because we never really got along even before he.

Anyway. I tried. [...] If you thought she was showing some kind of affection for me it was probably just for Daniel, ultimately.

This still doesn't explain why you'd say she's evil, even in hyperbole. [...] Do you think her current behavior toward you may be informed by how you remind her of Daniel? I reminded my mother of my father and she found it challenging to be affectionate toward me. Also, what happened with your friend was somewhat recent. Perhaps she is still processing.

I mean. Probably? But I think she also just thinks I'm an annoying loser. Which is hard to argue with.
