[A two-dog cart (very similar to this, but cobbled together using mismatched scrap) is wheeled to Mud's container in the late morning, because no one expects Mud to wake up before noon. They did just enough testing on the chariot to know the straps are comfortable for the dogs and it won't fall apart under Mud's weight, and anything that happens after that is truly up to God.

Delivery, 12/1 @ ~7 AM

[Just before sunrise, two vehicles drive up to Lundegaard: a sedan belonging to the Container Fort, and a pickup truck, missing from the town since the night of Thanksgiving. Parking right in front of the gate, Beau exits the pickup, waves at a watchtower, and gets into the sedan, which is driven by Carter. They leave without speaking to anyone.

The pickup is unlocked. The exterior been cleaned and buffed, while any items in the interior have been left untouched. It's been given a full maintenance workup, including fluids changed, tires rebalanced, suspension and steering tuned, and a replaced serpentine belt.

A folded note on the dashboard reads:] ¡Feliz Navidad! 💕
