Beau takes the rifle and gets into shooting stance. She may not be a decorated Olympian, but she learned how to shoot when Carter did, and grew comfortable with a sniper rifle during the long months when it was just the two of them alone. Beau's an okay shot. Better when she's sober, better when it's not so cold, but her goal isn't to kill anything tonight.
"They were taking volunteers for more patrols near the fence." She scans the road through the scope. "Fun date opportunity."
Instinctively, Carter's eyes follow the end of the rifle, to see what's on the other side. Nothing from here. She sinks on to the floor of the guard tower to conserve warmth and let the fatigue settle in her limbs for just a moment. "Weren't you saying. That I have enough jobs?" She says with a world-weary sigh, "I've done my time on patrol. All I found was sheep."
"Wooow, so you agree with me that you're working too much." Beau's eyes flick over when Carter drops to the floor, but she otherwise keeps her attention on the rifle. Her voice is casual as she says, "I thought you had fun on your sheep trip."
