4 Days Until the Horde

Everyone in the Quad is deep in preparations for the massive horde coming from Danforth when word goes out from Whitney Field Depot: you're all invited to the Lobby tonight for one last(??) big shindig before we all die(??)!

At 7 PM, the theater troupe presents a one-hour episode of Supernatural, which any true fans will soon realize is Tegan's AO3 fanfic and not an actual episode. Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester (Evening O'Leary and Bo Bloodgood) team up with the angel Castiel (Odyssey) to investigate a series of ritualistic murders meant to kickstart the apocalypse. After Sam is captured by Lucifer (Blythe Ferry), Dean and Castiel must work alone together and discover that the murders are the work of John Winchester (Edgar de Leon), now evil and resurrected by demons. Featuring: Sexual tension! Casual blasphemy! Daddy issues!

From there, everyone's invited to return to the Lobby to drink, relax, make new friends and plan for the horde if you absolutely must do that.

Guidelines

⚾ Tonight's Theme: The apocalypse!! Again!!!

⚾ Hot Weapons: Firearms, ammo and explosives must be checked in at the gate and will be returned to you when you leave. Cold weapons (blades, bludgeons, crossbows) are fine to take inside.

⚾ Drinks: One free drink per hour, whether that's mystery punch (moonshine, water and whatever mixture of powdered drink flavors they have on hand, which today is blue-green in color) or non-alcoholic punch. Water is available any time. Other drinks are on the menu but must be traded for.

⚾ Cannabis: No free samples tonight, but it's in stock at the trading post.

⚾ Overnight: Four (4) beds are open in the guest quarters in the sublevel, going to whoever claims them first, and the rest can camp in the outfield. There are enough sleeping bags to accommodate everyone, but only six (6) small tents. Up to you where your character ends up tonight!

ARRIVALS

Check in if your character attending! Are they in a partying mood or here against their will? Dressed like it's 1999 or just wearing whatever they had on hand? How do they feel about the approaching horde?

THE LOBBY

The bar serves alcohol and water, and a few other options if you've got merit or items to trade. The trading post is open if you need to stock up on essentials. A table is set up with snacks, including a big charcuterie board with bread, cheese, dried fruit and meats, and honey.

THE REC ROOM

Formerly the gift shop, now stocked with books and board games, and tables and chairs. There's also a pool table and a foosball table!

THE OUTFIELD

Step outside for some fresh air or a bit of quiet. The community garden is a nice place for a walk.

✨ THEATER

The stage is a cobbled together collection of wooden pallets in the parking lot, plus portable stairs that seem very rickety whenever an actor jumps on it. What did you think of the show?

MONARCH OF THE APOCALYPSE

If the one drink per hour limit isn't doing for you, you're invited to join the drinking contest. Whoever's still standing at the end gets 3 merits and a tiara!

Evie grabs the water, and sinks to Blythe's side. She's deft enough to tuck the bottle into the passing Labyrinth's coat pocket. "And make good choices!!!" She yells into the void.

"You gotta trick them." Evening concludes, letting her head flop on to Blythe's shoulder. This mostly means her wig flops on to Blythe's shoulder and rests there like an ugly little cat.

The synthetic hair is drawn straight to Blythe's mouth and he immediately starts spitting and choking on it.

"Oh I don't got a wily bone in my body, guess—" Spit, choke, remove hair from face, eepeat. "Guess that's what y'all're for. I trust you are fully gosh darn hydrated?"

It wouldn't do to have their next romantic lead perish before his next show, so Evening sits up and gently extracts the wig from his mouth, tossing it somewhere behind her. Her aim isn't great right now.

"But you're our moral Star, and that's So important too." She coos, lest he believe one shortcoming about himself. "I'm Wildly dehydrated." This sounds like a brag.

Blythe considers this. It does not seem healthy, but he already tried literally handing Evening water and look at what happened. "Do you have a plan in place for procuring somethin' to save your head tomorrow mornin'?"

Blythe is being So concerned, which is ostensibly sweet, but she is far too drunk to hear it. Evening lets out a dramatic, exasperated groan and fully collapses to fully drape over the steps. "I'll be FINE, Mom. I can cure Anything with exactly two coffees. And we Have those now!"
He is welcome, of course, to remind her of this in the morning.

If Edgar was a better troupe leader, he would've made sure to reserve a couple of those waters, but he's empty-handed as he approaches the stage, hearing only the tail end of their conversation. "Don't drink coffee after dark," he says, in the exact same tone his mother would use on him in the rejected audition years.

He runs a hand through his hair with a sigh, dislodging cornstarch granules. "Honest opinion time. Good party? Bad party?"

"I had a good party," Blythe answers, his smile a little dreamy and distracted, chin propped up on his fists. "And I had a lot less steam to blow off than half these folks, looks like."

Another loud sigh, and she slaps her hand across her face at the coffee reprimand. This ends up hurting a little, but Evening doesn’t flinch. “It’s a Rager, captain.” She confirms for Edgar, but ultimately turns her laser eyes to Blythe, still from the floor.

“What’s making Your party so good?” Like they hadn’t been actively spying.

Blythe sinks back, stretching out along the steps next to Evening, a little more careful so they don't move at all.

"He's here," he says with the sigh of someone Down Bad. "I didn't know he was coming tonight."

Edgar leans against the stair railing (carefully, at the exact point you can put your arm on the railing and not send the whole thing toppling) and looks down at them with undisguised fondness.

"Oh yeah, he is." Also very casual. "Flannel suits him."

"Oh Yeah?" Evening curls into Blythe's side like she is asking a parent for storytime as a toddler. She also chances a look up to Edgar, who she had last left as they were running in different directions away from monitoring the Blythe and Niko Situation. The mischievous spark is almost fully out of her eyes when she turns them back to Blythe, apparently innocently curious.

"Did you talk to him?"

"Yeah." Another dreamy sigh, even as Blythe's insides squirm and his cheeks heat up. He kind of wishes Evening hadn't tossed the wig so he could bury his face in it right now, but... at least it's just them. The three of them and Odyssey curled up in a trench coat on the ground on the other side of the stage.

"He wanted a little backstage tour, and I— well," Blythe dips his head, because they know as well as he does there's no real backstage to tour, "I was happy to oblige."

Thank God that Edgar was spying earlier and had time to moderate his response to this news. He won't shout GET IT BLYTHE, but he does drop his hand over the railing for a silent high-five with Evening.

"Attaboy." He's happy for Blythe, truly. "You've been long overdue for a whirlwind romance."

Evening does low-five Edgar, tugging at his fingers excitedly as she breaks away, all while her face just reads as shocked glee. Which she hardly has to fake. She can't help making a little fun though,

"Was his beard Soft?"

"Oh my GLORY," Blythe's face turns an even brighter red and he pushes Evening's forehead back to waggle a finger in both of their faces. "You know a good Christian boy doesn't kiss and tell."
