END OF THE WORLD PARTY
Locations
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"I don't know about a good time," She schools her face into some sort of careful neutral, all too concerned about not being the Debbie Downer she certainly is being. "But I'd never turn down a drink with you. Do you have any plans for what is possibly the last party ever?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"Just kidding. I dunno. If this is really our last party ever, I kinda wanna be hugging more people." She licks her Ovaltine mustache off. "Should we be hugging right now?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"How many children are you planning to have with this mystery lady?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"Like five," Lola replies easily. She's thought about this before. "Enough to repopulate my old gas station. And then one extra to work at your restaurant. But while I'm gonna pay my kids under the table you have to give mine a real W-2 and everything, so I get the tax benefits." She punctuates her little fantasy with a wide grin, cheesing for Billie. "Thoughts?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"I failed Algebra too many times to try to do my own taxes," she adds, as though that's the point or what she should be focusing on. "If you let me get discount snacks at your convenience store, maybe my accountant can do file your kid's W-2 though when he does mine. Do you think that's a conflict of interest? Do accountants even have that?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
And then deflates.
"But like the horde would still be coming for us even if we did have a Great Society." Lola blows a strand of hair out of her face. "Bummer."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"But maybe that should be our proposal if we're alive for the next summit meeting. Ethics class for the mayor."

THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
She thinks about this scenario for over a minute before deciding that she's probably not qualified to assess if dietary restrictions affect the ethics of veganism. "But he does fight people at the bar a lot. Maybe that's good for an ethics class though. Some classes have a lot of debating."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"Prolly Blythe should teach the ethics class," she says amiably, taking another sip of her chocolate milk-water. "Where'd he go, anyway? Is he with Dr. Leather Jacket?"
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
Billie looks around the lobby to try and spot either of the pair, but sees no sign. "Maybe he took Dr. Leather Jacket to the RV to style him. Sometimes he comes here to trade and I swear he's always in a business suit."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"I heard he runs in a tuxedo and cummerbund. Like does his cardio in that get-up. Full top hat situation. That's what I heard."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
Billie tries to picture someone running in a tuxedo and cummerbund, but it just makes her picture the Penguin from Spider-Man running, which is kind of funny. "Maybe Blythe wanted to get him a top hat and monocle to complete his look. I bet the theatre troupe have those lying around somewhere."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
Lola pauses, thinking for a second.
"Would you feel a little better if we zhuzhed up your look? I mean you look great. Just saying. More zhuzh."

Then, it occurs to her what the only real option is and should be. "Thelma & Louise."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
She gives Billie a chocolatey smooch on the cheek. "YOU'RE A BRAIN GENIUS."
THE LOBBY: Billie + Lola
"Do we go by our heights to choose who is who?"
