Alright, we're going to go out and look at Whitney's infrastructure. so far it's me, John and Emmett for sure. Anyone else who wants to volunteer, we'd be glad to have you. Rules are we're just going to check things out, we're not making any promises yet.

They want more reliable electricity than just their gas generator and solar panels, with hot showers on the wish list.

If there's a simple repair we can take care of while we're there, we can do it, but let's not get caught up on every leaky pipe or broken outlet.

I'm going to schedule with Mara to see what days would be good for them for us to visit, and I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Actually, now that I've thought more about it, it does make more sense for me to make the inspection on my own. The risk of an attack is low, and I will have my truck. There's no use diverting our labor away from Lundegaard for the wind farm until after I've confirmed it is repairable.

I will only inspect, I will not scavenge. I can do it from the cab of my truck. And I would like to have some time alone.

I will be responsible when I make the inspection. You don't have to worry. After assessing the circumstances, including our present needs as a community and the extra strain assisting Whitney places upon us, I would prefer to make the initial inspection alone. I know what I'm looking for, Gideon: signs of deterioration, lubricant leakage, and the overall health of the transformer and tie-lines. I have this in hand.

Although I still believe a solo inspection is the most efficient use of our resources. Which is the primary driver behind my change of plans.

I’ll put together a team once I’ve determined repairing the wind farm is even feasible. That’s when it will be most important to have people on the watch for danger. That’s how you staffed our work crews, and I’ll do it the same way.

And I don’t feel bad about myself right now. I feel very calm. I remembered how much I enjoy being alone.
