I secured us a pump (just a rental) from Whitney to get the rest of the water out of Maggie's house. We're also getting a set of strong shoulders in the form of Arlo Rattray. With all of this, we should be able to get the place in decent order before winter sets in.

That said, we need to find a new mattress for Maggie. New bedding wouldn't hurt either. Arlo's also interested in helping us there, since he needs one too.

I know Roswell hates big parties, but I thought he could put together a little something after the kids are in bed. Drinks, food, easygoing music. Just us.

Alright, we're going to go out and look at Whitney's infrastructure. so far it's me, John and Emmett for sure. Anyone else who wants to volunteer, we'd be glad to have you. Rules are we're just going to check things out, we're not making any promises yet.

They want more reliable electricity than just their gas generator and solar panels, with hot showers on the wish list.

If there's a simple repair we can take care of while we're there, we can do it, but let's not get caught up on every leaky pipe or broken outlet.

I'm going to schedule with Mara to see what days would be good for them for us to visit, and I'll keep you guys posted on that.
