Alright, we're going to go out and look at Whitney's infrastructure. so far it's me, John and Emmett for sure. Anyone else who wants to volunteer, we'd be glad to have you. Rules are we're just going to check things out, we're not making any promises yet.

They want more reliable electricity than just their gas generator and solar panels, with hot showers on the wish list.

If there's a simple repair we can take care of while we're there, we can do it, but let's not get caught up on every leaky pipe or broken outlet.

I'm going to schedule with Mara to see what days would be good for them for us to visit, and I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Showers seemed like a simple thing we could do to help people's quality of life over there? But I also told them I'm not the boss, and I can't make promises. I'm just some dumb grunt.

I wasn't aware they lack showers at Whitney, but I agree. It also benefits the health of the broader community, if we're going to be mingling at the Summit. I don't believe I need to remind anyone about what happened to us when the flu passed through. Anything that keeps our neighbors healthy will keep us healthy, I think.

We'll be hard-pressed to give them anything more reliable than their existing generator and panels. At least not without a significant investment of time and effort on our part, to make use of the river.

What about that abandoned wind farm? It's near them. After bringing it back online, we would only have to make use of existing connections.

I'm sure Roswell and Gideon will make sure we're amply compensated. I'm only offering what I think might be the most feasible path forward, with the least amount of effort from us.

That's a good idea. After we see what their setup looks like, we should check out the status of the wind farm. If the baseball field's wiring is still in decent shape, we might be able to hook them up. Do you want to take point organizing that?
