Alright, we're going to go out and look at Whitney's infrastructure. so far it's me, John and Emmett for sure. Anyone else who wants to volunteer, we'd be glad to have you. Rules are we're just going to check things out, we're not making any promises yet.

They want more reliable electricity than just their gas generator and solar panels, with hot showers on the wish list.

If there's a simple repair we can take care of while we're there, we can do it, but let's not get caught up on every leaky pipe or broken outlet.

I'm going to schedule with Mara to see what days would be good for them for us to visit, and I'll keep you guys posted on that.

Actually, now that I've thought more about it, it does make more sense for me to make the inspection on my own. The risk of an attack is low, and I will have my truck. There's no use diverting our labor away from Lundegaard for the wind farm until after I've confirmed it is repairable.

Scavenging should never be done alone. Take Maggie with you.

I will be responsible when I make the inspection. You don't have to worry. After assessing the circumstances, including our present needs as a community and the extra strain assisting Whitney places upon us, I would prefer to make the initial inspection alone. I know what I'm looking for, Gideon: signs of deterioration, lubricant leakage, and the overall health of the transformer and tie-lines. I have this in hand.

There is a high likelihood the turbines have been or are leaking lubricating fluid. It's not toxic, so you should still be able to use what you gather. Just telling you, so that you are not alarmed.

I've thought about this more and now see it is more logical that I do the initial inspection myself. But I have no doubt there will be many more opportunities for you to forage outside the immediate range of Lundegaard with someone else.
